LEARN ABOUT THE OWASSO BOUQUET OF GARDENERS

MISSION

To stimulate interest in gardening, to gain horticultural knowledge, to promote civic beautification and to protect the environment.

• Our aim is to exchange ideas and promote fellowship within the club.
• To host an annual fundraising project.
• Provide annual scholarship to an Owasso student.
• Provide monthly programs at club meetings to stimulate interest in gardening and the environment.
• Plan a yearly special project to beautify our community.
• Promote gardening in our community by awarding a Yard of the Month.
• Promote garden club membership, to continue diversity of our club and to educate through our many Master Gardeners within the club.

MEMBERSHIP

Membership is open to everyone; you may come as a guest before joining the club. Dues are $24 a year. We have field trips throughout the year and fellowship luncheons at times determined by members. Plant and seed exchanges are part of our activities.

Club meets on the 4th Tuesday of the month (excluding November and December) at Central Baptist Church, 9001 N 145th East Ave, Owasso @ Noon

VISITORS ARE ALWAYS WELCOME!

As always, our August meeting will be held at Central Baptist Church, Room 400. We normally meet on the fourth Tuesday of the month, but this month our rooom will be used as a polling place on the 25th. Our speaker must be reconfirmed with the date change and will be announced as soon as we have confirmation.

We are located at 9001 N 145th East Ave, Owasso. Visitors are always welcome. If you care to join the club, dues are $24 for the year.

2026 Scholarship Winner

Our 2026 Scholarship winner is Owasso graduating senior Hailey Mansard. Hailey will be going to OU in the fall, and will be pursuing a degree in Music Education. She began playing the saxophone early in life and is passionate about music. She shared that she practices daily, twice a day; not that is dedication! In addition, Hailey graduated 38th in her class of thousands!! Congratulations on a great career at Owasso Senior High School! We wish her the best as she pursues her passion in the fall.

Yard of the Month - June 2026

For the month of June we have featured the home and yard of Janet Lacey who lives in Preston Lakes. She has lived in her home for five years, having moved from Missouri. She transformed a yard that was mostly dirt into a lush green oasis, filled will many types of perennials and numerous annuals. She has many pots on her patio, and a circular bed of perennials on her front lawn. Garden art decorates many of her flower beds. She puts in many hours each week caring for her gardens.

Yard of the Month - July 2026

For the month of July we have featured the home and yard of Gary and Linda Hendrix who reside in Preston Lakes. They have lived in their home since 2007. Their huge lot feels like they live in the country. They say their yard is the product of trial and error. They enjoy planting all kinds of flowers in all the colors. Though it's a lot of work, they enjoy spending time in their gardens. Their entire extended family has become involved in their gardening venture.
